# Analytics

Because Dash POS adds items as custom line items rather than Shopify variants, Shopify doesn't natively track modifier data. Dash provides its own analytics so you can see how modifiers are performing.

To access analytics, go to **Apps > Dash > Analytics** in your Shopify admin.

## Filtering

Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow your data:

* **Last 7 days** or **Custom range** — choose a date range
* **Previous period** — compare to the prior date range
* **All Locations** — filter by a specific POS location or view all locations together

Click **Reset** to clear all filters.

## Overview Cards

Four summary cards at the top show your key numbers at a glance:

* **Total Orders** — total orders placed through Dash POS
* **With Modifiers** — orders that included at least one modifier
* **Total Revenue** — total revenue from Dash POS orders
* **Mod Revenue** — revenue generated specifically by modifier add-ons

## Top Modifiers

Shows which individual modifier options are used most often across your orders. Use this to understand what your customers actually want — for example, whether Vanilla is your most popular syrup or whether Large outsells Medium.

## Modifier Set Performance

A table breaking down each modifier set (for example, Sizes, Syrups, Dairy) showing:

* How many modifier options it contains
* How many products it's assigned to
* The revenue it has generated

You can search and filter the table using the controls in the top-right corner.

## Key Performance Indicators

Three KPIs at the bottom track the overall impact of modifiers:

* **Avg Modifiers per Order** — how many modifiers customers are adding on average
* **Revenue per Modifier** — the average revenue each modifier adds to an order
* **Modifier Adoption Rate** — the percentage of orders that include at least one modifier. If this is low, it might mean your staff needs training on offering modifiers, or your modifier options need adjusting.
