# Categories

Categories organize your products into groups that appear in the POS menu (for example, "Hot Beverages," "Cold Beverages," "Sandwiches").

## Creating a Category

### Go to the Menus page

Go to **Apps > Dash > Menus** and select your menu.

### Open Categories

On the **Categories** page, click **+ Add Categories**.

### Enter name

Enter a category name.

### Save

Save your changes.

Each category displays its name and how many products it contains.

## Reordering Categories

Drag and drop categories to change the order they appear in the POS menu. The order on this page is the order your staff will see.

## Editing & Deleting Categories

Use the **three-dot menu** (⋮) on any category to edit its name or delete it.
